News:

Bus viability in doubt as profits fall again

TAS has expressed concern about the future viability of the UK bus industry, following research which shows that industry profit levels have fallen to their lowest levels since 1993

New rail report shows another drop in profits

The new 2007 Rail Industry Monitor report shows that profit levels amongst the UK''s privatised train operators fell in 2005/06 for the second year in a row. The report also finds that rail investment is now over £4 billion behind the Government''s 10-Year Plan.

Park and Ride "saves 34 million car journeys"

The results of a new survey by TAS suggest that 46 million passengers a year are now taking advantage of bus and light rail-based park and ride facilities at 135 sites in 60 towns and cities, reducing congestion and pollution.

Instant information - how we're adapting

Getting information fast

Over the years we have been producing our reports, we have recognised that our customers' information needs have changed. We have responded in a number of ways, introducing the facility to buy our larger reports on CD-ROM five years ago - a service which is now used by around 50% of our customers.

The internet itself has driven expectations even further, and these days everybody expects to be able to get their information instantly. We are developing our information services further to meet this need.

How we're working

The service comes in two forms:

  • E-reports:  all our publications can be downloaded virtually instantaneously from this site following successful payment by credit card.
  • E-mailing service: if you are within the UK and are incorporated or are a government body, we can e-mail the majority of our reports to you on receipt of a purchase order.

E-Reports

All our publications can be downloaded virtually instantaneously from this site.

Look for the "E-Reports" logo in the On-Line shop, and place your order. Once your credit or debit card payment is approved, you will receive a confirmatory e-mail giving you a web link from which you can download the relevant file.  Files are in Adobe Acrobat (PDF) format, and require Acrobat Reader V7.0 or higher.

If you have any problems, let us know by e-mail to sales@tas-passtrans.co.uk or telephone 01729 840756.

E-Mailing

For larger organisations and companies within the UK who require to use their existing purchase ordering and invoicing systems, we can e-mail the majority of our reports to you on receipt of a purchase order or invoicing instruction by fax or e-mail. Again, Files are in Adobe Acrobat (PDF) format, and require Acrobat Reader V5.0 or higher.  If you want further advice or assistance on this service, give us a call on 01729 840756. You can also download a leaflet and order form, and send that to us by fax to 01729 840705.

Conditions of Sale

Our normal conditions apply: however, we also issue you with a software licence for electronic documents, which can be downloaded from here .
